A few weeks ago I had the opportunity to tour the Custom Comfort showroom in Huntington Beach, California. I was so excited about this opportunity, as as a registered nurse and fitness coach, sleep has always been my number one priority. Not only did I get to tour the showroom and learn about Custom Comfort, but I also was fitted for my very own mattress.
When I arrived at the Huntington Beach location, I discovered that they have 8 locations located in Southern California. All of the mattresses are made locally. After arriving at the store, it was time to get to work to find the perfect mattress for me. I usually like to sleep on my side (facing my dogs, haha) so I was fitted for a mattress designed for a side sleeper. All of the mattresses are double sided and made with natural materials, which allows them to last longer than the typical mattress. They also provide support and comfort for any body type. One of the coolest features of the mattresses is that they also gave made-to-order split beds for couples who have different sleep needs.
I honestly felt very taken care of visiting the Custom Comfort storeroom. Sleep really is my number one priority of my own health and fitness. If I don’t get 7-8 hours of quality sleep before a nursing shift or early training session at the gym, then my whole day is thrown off. I can’t show up 100% for my patients or my clients.
Over the last few months as my schedule has gotten busier and busier my sleep has unfortunately taken a hit. I’ve done a few things before bed to help me get a better sleep like limiting screen time, taking a magnesium supplement, sleeping in a cool environment, and now changing my mattress to provide more support and comfort for a good night’s sleep.
After learning about all of the mattresses, we decided that the aspen mattress was best for my body type and sleeping position. This mattress is double sided, has individually wrapped coils in the mattress, and is made with natural latex, which contours to the body, provides breathable support, and helps relieve pressure on joints for more restful night’s sleep.
It’s been 2 weeks since my new Custom Comfort Mattress was delivered. I can’t recommend their mattresses enough. For the last few weeks I’ve been SO excited to hop into my bed every night (and so are my dogs, haha). The delivery went super smooth, it was delivered straight to my door and installed, plus my old mattress was removed by the delivery team.
